Abstract

Every region is making progress in reducing stillbirths and trying to achieve the target of single-digit Stillbirth rate by 2030. Now it has been realized there is need to classify the Stillbirths and adapt a global system of classification so that data from both Low middle-income countries and High middle-income countries can be compared and preventive strategies can be planned and implemented. In this viewpoint, the latest system of classification recommended by WHO for perinatal death and challenges anticipated have been elaborated.
